Several Shawnee County Republican Party members and officers helped promote the county party at a local Tea Party event held April 16. The event focused on the urgent need for our government to operate more efficiently at all levels – reducing waste and overspending, minimizing or eliminating taxation, and consolidating, privatizing, or abolishing services. At the Shawnee County (Kansas) Republican Party this morning, new officers were elected to serve until the next reorganization meeting in 2012.

Also elected were delegates and alternate delegates to the 2nd District reorganization meeting scheduled in December.
